Electronic Consignment Notes

The CMR is a mandatory document for the international carriage of goods in Europe.
The eCMR is its electronic version and makes it much easier to manage. Shippers and carriers can issue, store and exchange the documents securely between their computer systems, with legal validity and in real time.
Paper CMRs mean carrying around a paper booklet with four or five copies for each journey. In many cases, they have to be handwritten and then managed and filed. It can take up to a week before the administrative tasks are finished. With the digital version all this disappears.
